Stakeholder Performance Domain

The stakeholder performance domain is one of the 8 project performance domains given by PMBOK 7. 

Stakeholders play an integral role in any project, both internally and externally. In order to engage all stakeholders, one must identify them both internally and externally, and give due consideration to them in all activities and functions of the project. 

Communication with stakeholders, as well as being technically proficient, is an essential component of project success. Project success is determined by effective stakeholder interaction, which involves strategies and tactics that work to ensure effective stakeholder involvement at various stages of the project lifecycle.

There are 5 steps of stakeholder management;

  • Identifying Stakeholders
  • Analyzing Stakeholders
  • Prioritizing Stakeholders
  • Engaging Stakeholders
  • Monitoring Stakeholders
