Monitor Stakeholder Engagement Process

Monitor stakeholder engagement process entails monitoring the status of stakeholder relationships, as well as adapting and changing the stakeholder engagement strategies and plans as needed. The key benefit of this process is that it maintains or increases the efficiency and effectiveness of stakeholder engagement activities as the project evolves and its environment changes. 

Stakeholder needs are dynamic and demand regular updating of all associated documentation.  For example, project activities often result in dissatisfaction with other project objectives, or dissatisfaction levels may fluctuate with respect to other objectives. Regardless of the case, an examination is needed to determine the underlying reasons why a stakeholder participates. If a stakeholder needs to be removed from the stakeholder list, it needs to be re-examined and if any part of the stakeholder analysis has changed, it needs to be re-examined.
